About

The Master in International Management – CEMS at University of the Andes, School of Management is a world-class programme for globally minded students who want to lead change. Through a rigorous curriculum in English, multicultural experiences, and access to the CEMS global network, students develop the strategic, intercultural, and leadership skills needed to thrive in international business.

Overview

The Master in International Management – CEMS at University of the Andes, School of Management is a globally recognized programme designed to develop the next generation of international business leaders. As part of the prestigious CEMS Global Alliance, students become part of a network of more than 30 top business schools, over 70 multinational corporate and social partners worldwide and more than 20.000 students and alumni.

The programme combines rigorous academic training with strong international exposure and practical experience. It is structured around two academic semesters and a professional experience.

Students complete one semester at Universidad de los Andes, where they build a strong foundation in international management, global strategy, responsible leadership, sustainability, and intercultural collaboration through courses taught entirely in English.

Key Features

During the second semester, students participate in an international exchange at another CEMS partner school (such as Bocconi, HEC París, Cornell, LSE, etc), allowing them to experience different business environments, cultures, and academic perspectives while collaborating with peers from across the global CEMS network.

The programme concludes with an international internship or first professional experience, enabling students to apply their knowledge in real organizational contexts and strengthen their professional profile within a global business environment.

A distinctive element of the CEMS MIM is its strong experiential learning approach. Students work on real-world projects with corporate partners, engage in case-based learning, and participate in multicultural teams that mirror the complexity of international business.

Career opportunities

Graduates of the MIM-CEMS programme pursue diverse international career paths in areas such as consulting, strategy, finance, etc. Many alumni join leading multinational companies, global consulting firms, international organizations, or entrepreneurial ventures, leveraging the strength of the CEMS global network and its highly regarded reputation among employers.

Accreditation

The Master in International Management is part of the prestigious CEMS Global Alliance of leading business schools. Universidad de los Andes School of Management holds the “Triple Crown” accreditation —AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA— a distinction achieved by only a small percentage of business schools worldwide, ensuring the highest standards of academic quality and global relevance.

Programme Structure

  • Students begin with a semester at Universidad de los Andes, where they complete core courses in international management, Global Strategy, Global Strategy Project, Block Seminar, Skill Seminars and Business electives of your choice.
  • In the second semester, students participate in an international exchange at one of the 30+ CEMS partner business schools worldwide (such as Cornell, LSE, ESADE, Bocconi, LSE, etc), gaining exposure to different business environments and collaborating with multicultural teams.
  • Throughout the programme, students engage in experiential learning through real-world projects with corporate partners, case-based courses, and skill seminars designed to strengthen leadership and intercultural competencies.
  • The programme concludes with a mandatory international internship or first professional experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a global business context and have a real experience in an organization.
