Overview
The ground-breaking MA Resource diplomacy program from Southern Federal University comprises of two professional tracks.
- The first one “Water Diplomacy” enhances scientific knowledge and capacities to engage in water cooperation and diplomacy processes, as well as evolves professionals to contribute to the public debate and discourses on shared waters. Main topics include the core features of the concept of water diplomacy; Water diplomacy tools and processes; Legal, institutional and economic frameworks for water cooperation and diplomacy; Water resources assessment tools.
- The revolutionary track “Human Behaviour Diplomacy” equips future IR professionals with the data driven comprehensive understanding and in-depth analysis of actors, processes and diplomacy handy tools. The core modules include Public and Data Diplomacy; Economic and Cultural Diplomacy; Global Governance and Conflict Resolution Methods.
After finishing the MA Resource Diplomacy young professionals will be able to apply broad anthropological knowledge, natural science approaches and data analytical methods to understand and promote peaceful relations by focusing on complex analysis, comprehensive understanding, and the diverse ways societies define and enact diplomacy. It involves a fieldwork to analyse how people interact in various global contexts, from international organisations to local communities, revealing crucial aspects of power, economy, and policy relevant to international relations.

You can enroll in our university according to the quota using the following opportunities:1) International Olympiad of the Association "Global Universities" 2) Scholarship from Rossotrudnichestvo 3) According to the Olympiad of federal universities - you need to take part in the Olympiad (It usually takes place in November-December), which will allow you to enter the university without exams, provided that you score 40 or more points. Students who have taken winning places receive a scholarship to study at our university.
