Overview
Its aim is to:
- To enable the development of methodological concepts and tools in applied linguistics and didactics, while also drawing on other human and social sciences
- To acquire specific and in-depth knowledge in the fields of applied linguistics and language teaching
- Acquire skills related to the profession of English teacher and/or teaching English
- To take a critical look at the language classroom and the complex relationships between teachers and students
- Develop appropriate professional skills
At the end of the second year (M2), the student will write a thesis of approximately one hundred pages under the supervision of a mentor. This thesis will be defended before a jury. This research work can serve as a preparatory step towards a doctoral thesis, after successful completion of the doctoral entrance examination.

General requirements
- The candidate for the master's program must hold a Bachelor's degree in English (LMD system), specializing in language sciences and didactics, i.e., 180 credits.
- He must have strong oral and written English language and communication skills, necessary to initiate and conduct research in the field of applied linguistics and didactics.
- He must have received introductory methodological training, developed through a bachelor's thesis directed by a supervisor and defended in S6.
