The College of Education is offering a Master of Arts in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. The program is planned and designed in light of the expected new roles and tasks of educators in Qatari Independent Schools, aligned with the College of Education (CED) Conceptual Framework and Student Learning Outcomes, the Qatar University. National Professional Standards for Teachers.

Key facts

The program is distinct in that it offers students the opportunity to develop in three important areas; curriculum, pedagogy and assessment through coursework. Two tracks are offered, research and project each requiring 30 credit hours. The research track allows individuals to develop in a more comprehensive manner in one of these areas by conducting research in an area that best meets their particular needs. The research track consists of:

18 hours as Major Requirement Courses
6 hours of electives
6 hours thesis

International Students: The international student must complete the online International Student Visa application and the required documents during the same application period for admission to Qatar University. A student who does not meet the requirements for applying for a student visa will not be considered.
GCC Students: The GCC student himself/herself must obtain a Qatari ID card through the official authorities in the State of Qatar. The student's admission application will not be considered unless he/she obtains a Qatari ID card.
