Overview
Although it is known that the Automotive Industry generally works on its own areas such as engine, chassis, body and power transmission, it can be claimed that it is greatly affected by two factors in particular.
The first factor is the continuous advancement of information technology. Today's vehicles are equipped with communication and computing technologies that utilize nanotechnology and microelectronics. These systems offer significant driver support capabilities. These include ESP (electronic stability programme), night vision assist, cruise control, navigation, active suspension control, passenger and pedestrian safety measures, and even a fatigued driver sensor. Recent research and development efforts have focused on Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication, as well as autonomous vehicle capabilities.
