You'll learn about management theory, whilst also gaining essential management skills.
The Management programme from The University of Lancashire focuses on areas that create value for businesses, enhancing your employability. This includes people management and digital transformation.
You will also learn about contemporary management issues. This includes discourse around the 'accidental manager', as well as national shortages in management skills.
Career
You will be well equipped to work in senior leadership roles across private and public organisations. There's significant demand for business management skills.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and McKinsey both highlight the importance of leadership and management skills. The OECD stress the need for strategic thinking, adaptability and ethical decision-making. McKinsey underscores the necessity of resilient and adaptable leaders who can collaborate effectively. They see leadership development as a core organisational capability to drive sustainable growth and deal with disruptions.
