Overview

Whether you are fine-tuning lasers in the lab, building quantum models, or conducting experiments at CERN, this programme immerses you in real-world research from day one.

The programme structure is very flexible and allows you to choose a specialisation in areas such as atomic and molecular physics, solid-state physics, subatomic physics, or astrophysics.

As a Physics programme from Aarhus University student, you will benefit from close collaboration with active researchers and take part in cutting-edge projects, enjoying a supportive, informal academic environment. When working on your master’s thesis during the final year, you will join a research group and contribute to ongoing scientific exploration. You also can connect with the university’s top research centres, including ISA, and major international labs.

Career

Physics graduates pursue careers in optics, material and surface physics, radiation therapy, IT, finance, and patent agencies. Many also advance to research roles in universities and institutions.
