Key facts
If you don't manage to secure a place at medical school, don't panic. There are several options for you to choose from. You could play the long game, study a bachelor's degree and re-apply through the graduate entry route. Or, you could choose an alternative career path. We offer various health and science-related courses, with very rewarding career outcomes. Our MBChB Medicine spiral curriculum enables you to build on your learning year-on-year. Clinical problems introduced in year one become increasingly complex as your knowledge grows. The curriculum has three phases. Phase 1 (Years 1 and 2) provides you with fundamental knowledge with early clinical exposure. Phase 2 (Years 3 and 4) builds on what you have learned in Phase 1, with placements in primary and secondary care settings. And in Phase 3 (Year 5), we'll prepare you for practice as a Foundation Year 1 doctor.
