Railway Vehicles and Infrastructure Engineering Chulalongkorn University

Overview

The Thai government attaches great importance to the development of railway as the country's primary transportation system. Therefore, there is an urgent need for human resources with knowledge and ability to support the expansion of rail transportation, rail infrastructure, and the educational curriculum to produce these professionals to ensure Thailand's competitiveness at the international level.

Key Features

Two areas of concentrations are offered:

• Railway Vehicles Engineering, and

• Railway Infrastructure Engineering.

The Railway Vehicles and Infrastructure Engineering program at Chulalongkorn University aims to produce engineers at a master's degree level, with the knowledge and competencies of the German standards. The graduates will be able to disseminate modern know-how and technology, possess problem-solving capabilities, as well as develop research and innovation to support the country's railway industry. 

They will also be lifelong learners and multidisciplinary team players who can work with people from all walks of life and possess creativity while adjusting well to the everchanging atmosphere of the industry, vis a vis the socioeconomic and political climates, thus becoming valuable human resources for the country's sustainable development.
