You'll study a combination of 200- and 300-level courses from the Bachelor of Design Innovation (BDI) degree. The Graduate Diploma in Design Innovation in Media Design program from Victoria University of Wellington gives you the flexibility to choose courses that fit your career goals, or that will help you decide on a topic for your Master's research if you intend to do a Master of Design Innovation.

You can do a general diploma or choose to specialise in Animation and Visual Effects, Communication Design, Design for Social Innovation, Fashion Design Technology, Game Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or Media Design.

Explore the diverse ways people interact with digital technology today including the web, visual and audio communication, augmented and virtual reality, gaming and mobile media.

Design solutions to real-world problems and develop new software skills. Choose to specialise in either 3D Design and Animation, Creative Coding, Game Design, Interactive Design, and Video Design.
