Overview

The study programme in Educational Sciences from Riga Technical University is promoting the development of students' professional pedagogical, managerial and research competences for competitiveness in education, motivate further academic growth. The study programme is designed for teachers in the field of education, as well as professionals with previous education in a different field who wish to develop their pedagogical and managerial competences.

Tasks

- to foster students' research literacy by integrating the latest scientific knowledge and innovative ideas in interdisciplinary contexts;- to promote the development of students' pedagogical competence, readiness to plan, implement, evaluate and develop educational work according to the learning needs, different abilities and backgrounds of the target groups, internal and external conditions and diverse contexts of the development of educational institutions and the education system;- to promote students' management and leadership competences by implementing the change management;- to promote student participation and co-responsibility by fostering the development of a competent, responsible and motivated lifelong learner;- to promote students' understanding of and adherence to professional and academic ethical standards in practice.
