Overview
The curriculum of the Advanced Physics program at University of Crete includes a series of general physics postgraduate courses, specialized courses that cover all areas of modern physics, and overlap with the research interests and activities of the department’s professors and researchers. Completion of the studies requires the preparation of a Master’s Thesis.
Key Features
The subject of the Master’s Thesis must be related to cutting-edge issues of modern physics in the fields of Astrophysics and Space Physics, Elementary Particle Physics and Cosmology, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, and Applied Physics – Semiconductor Physics and Technology.
The state-of-the-art research infrastructure facilities of the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser of the Foundation for Research and Technology as well as the Skinakas Observatory are available to all postgraduate students of the Department.
