Overview
The Earthquake and Building Information program at Gebze Technological University aims to raise graduates who can both practice engineering and transfer to higher degree programs. It is aimed to follow new developments in civil engineering and reflect these developments on the quality of education, as well as to give importance to scientific research that ensures the academic development of the faculty members in the department.
Learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:
- Define and apply advanced Earthquake and Structural Engineering concepts.
- Gain basic knowledge about seismic design codes, structural dynamics, geotechnical earthquake engineering, earthquake resistance design, seismic data acquisition and processing, earthquake hazard and risk analysis.
- Carefully review the literature in line with the research project and establish connections between one's own results and previous literature.
Careers
Earthquake and Structural Engineers can work as engineers in public or private oil or mining companies, as well as in academic institutions. They can also establish their own companies and provide consultancy services.

- Application form for international degree-seeking students
- A valid document of exam result: The original copy of the exam result or the notarized copy (Also bring translation of the document if it is in a language other than English or Turkish).
- High school diploma: A Turkish version of high school diploma which must be notarized or confirmed by the consulate.
- Official Transcript of Records: An official document showing all the courses and the grades that the applicant has taken in high school. It must be submitted in a sealed envelope approved by the high school principal of the applicant.
- Photocopy of the pages in your passport showing your picture and identity information
- 2 passport photos with the size of 4.5 x 6 (it should be taken in the last 6 months and make you easily recognizable.)
