Ankara city life
Ankara is a very old city with diverse Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman archaeological sites, numerous mosques, around 50 museums and other interesting places you can visit.

Check the old shops in Çikrikçilar Yokusu (Weavers' Road), or Bakircilar Çarsisi (Bazaar of Coppersmiths) where you can buy or simply admire traditional fabrics, carpets, leather products and many more; bargaining is the essential part of anything you want to buy all over Turkey, so have fun with the local custom. Modern shopping areas are mostly found in Kizilay, or on Tunali Hilmi Avenue.
Grab a piece of Turkish culture and go to the Ankara Opera House or the Ankara Sanat Tiyatrosu theatre.
Regarding the entertainment life, you can choose from some nice bars, dancing clubs, pubs and cafés all over Ankara. Çankaya is more popular among students for the trendy bars.

Ankara has a high multicultural environment maintained by the large number of international students and the thousands of tourists constantly visiting the city.
