Overview
The Sustainable Land Management and Conservation program from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences will provide knowledge on topics such as the functioning of managed landscapes (e.g., agroecosystems) in different world regions and skills to implement measures for nature conservation of (partially) managed landscapes. Participants will become skilled for planning conservation and in sustainable land management.
Key features
The program will enable participants to advise land users and other stakeholders. Thereby, students will be put into the position to apply and further develop tools in assessing and predicting impacts of land management on nature (e.g. field methods, computational models or laboratory methods). Graduates are able to work independently in planning and to implement nature conservation measures in different landscapes, to work scientifically with the aforementioned knowledge and skills and to practically advise land users, especially farmers, in sustainable land management.
