Overview
The primary goal of the Hybrid Electric Propulsion Technology program at The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus - Senftenberg is to impart knowledge and competence in hybrid electric propulsion technology with a focus on system design, analysis and effective problem solving. It aims to equip the young generation with the necessary competencies to make a significant contribution in this field by imparting the essential knowledge and skills for hybrid electric propulsion technology in aviation.
As part of the study program, after acquiring knowledge of the general topics of mechanical and electrical engineering, students can choose between the two main areas of engine engineering and electric drive engineering. Graduates will be able to work in various areas of sustainable mobility worldwide, such as in academic and industrial research and development, in the design and manufacturing industry, and in planning and policy-making organizations.

The interdisciplinary content of the course qualifies graduates for professional activity
- in the expanding industry for hybrid drive technology in the areas of air, road and sea transport from small to large companies as well as for self-employment in these areas,
- in the areas of system design, analysis, optimization and construction in the design and manufacturing industry,
- in the research and development sector at universities and research institutions,
- in industrial research and development of private companies,
- in planning and policy-making organizations ,
- in various areas of sustainable mobility worldwide.
