Overview
The Skilling, Upskilling, Reskilling - European Specialization School in Sustainable Energy program from Università degli Studi della Tuscia is an educational program for the upskilling of technicians, designers and researchers on renewable energy with additional focus on circular economy.
The goal is to improve skills in renewable energy technologies, including economical and social impacts, to promote and support the transition to a sustainable world.
The courses will be performed by four of the most prestigious universities in Europe:
- University of Tuscia (UNITUS) in Italy, a consolidated cultural reference point that combines attention to the territory with a broad international scope;
- University of Sevilla (USE) in Spain, the oldest and largest University in Southern Spain, one of the top research centers across the country;
- University of Utrecht (UU), the largest Dutch universities;
- Metropolia (MET), based in Helsinki, Finland's largest university of applied sciences.
The courses will make an extensive use of practical and design activities, hands-on sessions and assignments. Lessons held face-to-face will be also broadcasted in streaming through a dedicated webpage/platform to enable the participation of international students and part-time students joining from the workplace.
Dedicated Extended Reality rooms will support the hand-on training of students, ensuring that all the training programs will be flexible and empowering, assisted with a new and appealing way. The effective implementation of this hybrid learning approach will make use of a combination of practical, lab and design activities leveraging on virtual reality technologies.
The courses will be supported by industries or other stakeholders for the final stage.

SKILLBILL’s specialization school represents a great opportunity for all students willing to increase their knowledge in the RES sector.
Students will be offered several courses from 4 prestigious european universities, so they will be able to share their experience with other students from other countries, to experiment different teaching methods and approaches.
Students will have the chance to be involved in a final real-life case study with the participation of industries or other relevant stakeholders.
Students will also experiment the Extended Reality to perform several activities
Students will have the unique opportunity to participate in a programme organized and financed by an European project.

The School is structured in 8 modules, 6 of which compulsory, and a final graduation project. The internship in an organisation relevant for the energy sector (e.g. industry or research institution) is compulsory.
