IEDC provides a distinctive general management approach to executive education
IEDC is committed to world-class executive teaching and learning and a high level of professional and client-oriented service culture in everything that it undertakes. Taking a general management perspective on executive education, IEDC emphasizes leadership and responsible management in its Executive MBA program.
—An exceptional international and regional learning experience
To stay abreast of best practices and the latest management thinking worldwide while remaining highly relevant locally, IEDC combines a small international faculty of its own with visiting professors from many of the world’s leading management schools. The Executive MBA participant selection process ensures that class participants are always experienced managers and high potential executives with a wide variety of cultural, national and industry backgrounds. The practical orientation of the IEDC learning experience is enhanced by the composition and diverse credentials of its participants and faculty members.
—The design of IEDC’s Executive MBA curriculum is innovative
In 2012 IEDC’s Executive MBA program was recognized by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) as one of the four most innovative programs in the world. IEDC is regarded as a pioneer in its early inclusion of topics such as business ethics, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, and arts and leadership in its core Executive MBA curriculum. More recently IEDC has focused on addressing digital transformation challenges and opportunities within its Executive MBA curriculum.
—IEDC has a close relationship with the business community
IEDC became a pioneer in the region in 1991 when it introduced high level integrated consultancy projects into the Executive MBA curriculum. In small groups and in close co-operation with senior management and/or board representatives, Executive MBA participants work on a specific strategic management challenge with a client: local or multinational business or not-for-profit organization. These projects last one year and give our Executive MBA participants an opportunity to blend knowledge from management theory with best practice to help clients address the challenge in hand. Local and international business leaders also contribute to the IEDC Executive MBA curriculum with scheduled guest lectures.
—International partnerships and participant exchange program opportunities
IEDC has developed partnerships with prestigious management development universities and institutions in China, Latin America and South Africa. These partnerships provide opportunities for mutual participant exchange to enhance the IEDC Executive MBA experience. IEDC offers to its Executive MBA participiants academic exchanges within the Leadership Roundtables organized by the Consortium of recognized business schools, such as: Desautels Faculty of Management of McGill University (Canada), EGADE Business School, Tec de Monterrey (Mexico), University of Exeter Business School (United Kingdom), University of Stellenbosch Business School (South Africa), Business School Lausanne (Switzerland), UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School (Ireland), Kedge Business School (France), Audencia Nantes School of Management (France) and Yokohama National University (Japan). Electives are organized by IEEM Business School, University of Montevideo (Uruguay) and GIBS (South Africa).
—Bologna degree and international quality accreditations
IEDC Executive MBA graduates receive both an EMBA degree and a Master degree in Management which is Bologna accredited and conferred by the Slovenian higher education authorities. The IEDC Executive MBA program has been accredited by AMBA (Association of MBAs) since 2005 and by IQA, CEEMAN (known today as the International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies) since 1999.
