Overview
The Master of Science in Digital Advanced Manufacturing Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa aims to:
- Prepare engineering professionals to work in the next generation of industrial environments, supported by new digital technologies, manufacturing and logistical processes.
- Train graduates in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics Engineering, and Materials Engineering, with the competencies to meet the challenges of the digital transformation of the industry.
- Give the skills to investigate, conceive, design, optimize, design, implement, operate, maintain, evaluate and manage advanced manufacturing systems supported by digital technology and high added value, in multidisciplinary collaboration environments in a volatile, uncertain environment and complex.
Career Opportunities
At the end of the master's degree, students will be able to:
- Design complex work processes and methods, based on digital technology, that allow industrial companies to be more effective and efficient, and to produce goods in the defined quantity, quality, time and place and in safe conditions.
- Manage and control processes and projects for industrial technologies, automation and robotics in manufacturing, in interdisciplinary environments.
- Propose solutions for industrial technologies and automation, technically and economically competitive.
- Design, coordinate and execute projects for industrial technologies and automation.
- Develop R&D projects.
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit, be able to identify ideas and opportunities and understand the challenges of undertaking new technological projects.
- Have the capacity for critical analysis and leadership.
- Know how to work in a team and communicate effectively in a professional and academic environment.

- To hold a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent in undergraduate degrees in the areas of: Industrial Engineering and Management; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical and Computer Engineering; Physics Engineering; Materials Engineering; and similars.
- To hold a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent in undergraduate degrees in the areas of Engineering or Engineering sciences in general, with admission to the program subject to curricular appreciation and interview.
- To hold a foreign higher academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process in the areas referred above.
- To hold a school, scientific or professional curriculum, which is recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies.
