The Materials Engineering degree at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia is a mixed mode postgraduate academic programme which specializes on materials structures, properties, processing and characterization techniques. The main objective for the establishment of this programme is to produce postgraduates in the field of materials engineering with specialization in materials to fulfil the need of Malaysia's modern industries such as manufacturing and production, research and development work, maintenance and disposal, education etc.

The programme equips students with sufficient materials engineering knowledge and soft skills to enable them to work effectively, not only toward their degree but also to deal with problems encountered in an increasingly competitive technological world.
