The university was formerly known as Pusat Latihan Staf Politeknik ( PLSP ) which was established on September 16 , 1993.
Situated in southeast Malaysia, in Medini, Iskandar, Raffles University has achieved a successful 4-star QS rating, with 5-stars in Employability, Teaching, Online Learning, and Inclusiveness categories. Raffles University continues to strive for excellence in delivering high-quality education and providing an enriching learning experience for our students.
Currently, Southern UC has 6 faculties, 3 schools, and 4 research institutes. The 6 Faculties include Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Art and Design, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Chinese Medicine and Faculty of Education and Psychology.
