Overview

The Master of Education in Educational Technology by University Tunku Abdul Rahman programme aims to produce professionals who are able to respond to the requirements of dynamic and rapidly changing educational settings, particularly with regard to the planning, development, and implementation of educational technology solutions in their workplaces.

Upon completion of the programme, graduates should be able to: 

1. Analyse and synthesise advanced knowledge and that emerging from educational technology research and development in order to meet the challenges of dynamic curricula and learning contexts. 

2. Engage in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational technology integration experiences, heuristics, and decision-making processes using knowledge and advanced analytic and numeric skills. 

3. Organise and conduct outcomes-based research using a variety of techniques, including big data and digital technologies, to inform the growth of the knowledge base and best practises in technology adoption and integration in teaching and learning. 

4. Adapt suitable leadership style and demonstrate responsibility and autonomy in evolving educational and organisational contexts. 

 5. Work collaboratively and independently, utilising effective communication and interpersonal skills, to stimulate research and innovation in the integration of technology in all educational and organisational settings. 

6. Uphold professionalism and ethics to fulfil professional teaching and research standards, while continually enhancing the reputation of the educational technology profession. 

7. Exhibit a positive attitude towards perpetual learning with an entrepreneurial mindset in response to the changing world of education and for continuous professional development.
