The aim of the Education course from University of Bristol is to provide the methodological, analytical and practical expertise required to become a competent educational researcher.
This is an Economic and Social Research Council-recognised programme, and one of the research training pathways that make up the South West Doctoral Training Partnership.

- You will typically need an upper second-class honours degree or an international equivalent in education or research. Applicants who do not have a research degree must have evidence of one unit in research methods.
- We will also consider your application if your subject is not listed above but you can evidence significant (minimum of one year full-time or part-time equivalent) paid work experience in a research role. If this is the case, please include your CV (curriculum vitae / résumé) when you apply, showing details of your relevant experience.
- If you are currently completing a degree, we understand that your final grade may be higher than the interim grades or module/unit grades you have achieved during your studies to date.
