Overview
The Interventions in Childhood (One Year) programme from Jönköping University is interdisciplinary and gives you in-depth competence to work and collaborate professionally with children in need of support and their families in preschool/school, child rehabilitation, child health and medical care and social work.
Students have a background as a preschool teacher/teacher, special education teacher, nurse, psychologist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist and in social work. The program focuses above all on providing in-depth theoretical competence that provides opportunities for further development within the profession, leadership and further studies at postgraduate level.
The program is, among other things, connected to the research group CHILDOpens in new window.
(Children, Health, Intervention, Learning, Development) that collaborate in broad national and international networks. During the training, CHILD researchers share knowledge and experiences from their work with children in need of special support
After Graduation
The training deepens your professional knowledge. The program also prepares you for postgraduate studies, but also for a career in organizations that protect the interests of children and young people. After graduation, you have special competence in one of the fields of disability science, health and welfare, social work, or special pedagogy. Participation in everyday life, support and adaptations for children in need of special support are in focus. Examples of workplaces where you become attractive are preschool, school, habilitation, child health care, care and social care.
