Hands-on Experience
- Our students have access to 12 warmblood horses, including native Ma?opolski Horses and Felin Ponies - the only Polish breed of ponies bred by the employees of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. Practical classes are held in the fully-equipped University Horse Centre and during trips to competitions, equestrian events, races and visits to leading horse centres.
- Students of the Green Urban Planning program from University of Life Sciences in Lublin have the opportunity to develop their scientific passions in various organizations and scientific circles. They can also their practice horse riding skills while studying at the university under the supervision of experienced instructors. Students receive a special discount.
Programme Structure
Courses include:
- The curriculum includes 32 obligatory courses, 12 elective courses, three humanity subjects and a foreign language which is taught over four semesters. During the first two semesters the student will learn general biological and chemical principles and about legal issues which are a necessary foundation for typically specialized subjects.
- At the beginning the specialized subjects include the History of Horse Breeding and Use and Horse Physiology. The following specialized subjects are ordered in such a way that will enable a student to have an internship with a professional breeding practice after the first three semesters. The subjects include Equine Biology, Purebred Arabian or Thoroughbred Horse Breeding, as well as Horse Reproduction and Rearing.

General requirements
- Every candidate is required to present a transcript of records – a grade sheet – showing the academic achievements at school (subjects, grades, credits). A secondary school transcript may be called “testimonial” in some countries.
- Candidate should include an explanation of how the grading system works in the country the certificate(s) come from (ie. which grades are the best, and which are the poorest) e.g. 6 – excellent, 5- very good, etc. The transcript of academic records should be legalized (or bear an Apostille). The secondary school transcript (if on a separate sheet) should also be legalized or have the Apostille.
