The learning outcomes of the Master’s Degree Programme in Astronomy and Astrophysics depend on the relating class (LM-58, Science of the Universe). Thanks to this degree programme, masters graduates can be admitted to PhD schools, 2nd level professional masters and can hold technical and managerial duties in Civil Service and in the private sector. In particular, masters graduates may become laboratory technicians, scientific programmers, data analysts, software developers for scientific and industrial applications, commercial technicians for customer support (for example, in case of instrumentation manufacturers). By taking advantage of their cross-curricular mathematical and technical skills, masters graduates may successfully cooperate with other professionals such as engineers, managers and IT specialists.

- The reason why the ECTS requirement for the degree exam ranges from 36 to 45 is due to the need to slightly reshape year by year the educational weight of such exam. The threshold of 15 ECTS may be exceeded only whether at least one of the elective programmes is qualifying to acquire some of the ECTS required to be admitted to public competitions for secondary school teaching.

General requirements
- Candidates are required to have a Master degree in Earth Sciences according to the European Qualification Framework.
- Persons that have a degree issued by non-EU universities can be admitted to the course in the case that the Scientific Educational Council recognizes it sufficient for admission.
- The course will be financed by tuition fees, contributions from ENOS project and possible donations by other public and private institutions, within their national regulations. Teacher mobility will be financed through those sources, while extra expenses for student mobility (travel, food and accommodation expenses) will be covered by each student. Between 8 and 10 students are planned and reduction of the tuition fee is planned during the ENOS project, dependable on the number of students.
