Overview
At the Robert Gordon University studying the Msc Information Technology with Network Management allows those who wish to apply their knowledge and expertise in a technical environment to develop the computing and network management skills needed to match software solutions to the needs of business. The course is suitable for graduates wishing to transition into an IT career from other disciplines, as well as for candidates wishing to extend their existing IT experience with a formal Computing qualification.
You will learn how to design, implement and manage computer networks, as well as to develop software, database systems, and web applications. In addition, you will acquire the research and development skills required to undertake a sustained piece of network management or software development project work. The course is designed to provide the core knowledge and skills required to work in industry, using network configuration, analysis, troubleshooting and diagnosis tools as well as software development tools and techniques.
This course is available to study full-time or part-time. The part-time mode is ideal if you would like to develop your career but are unable to commit to full time study.

Postgraduate Tuition Fee Loan
Applicants (Scottish domiciled and EU) to this course may be eligible for a Postgraduate Tuition Fee Loan (PTFL). Full-time students can apply for a PTFL up to £3400. Part-time students can apply for up to £1700. The tuition fee loan is only available to part-time students who are undertaking at least 50% of a full-time course, and therefore, complete their qualification in 2 years.
