All about the course
The core modules (common across all routes) give you the opportunity to gain insights into the critical educational issues of the day and to develop key postgraduate academic skills. Our specialist modules reflect and incorporate the expertise of the teaching team in education research and scholarship. From the first module (Developing Criticality) through to the last (Dissertation) our aim is to support you in developing your knowledge and skills in relation to your professional and/or personal interests.
This course will engage you with theories about learning for adults and children and will provide you with opportunities to critically reflect on your role as an educator, as a leader, as a stakeholder in the provision of learning. Critical thinking, research and evidence informed practice, reflection and review are embedded in all the areas of study.
The course is offered as full time or part-time. The university has a long history of supporting education professionals with part-time study and this is particularly the case with postgraduate studies. We have designed this programme to be flexible, to fit around your professional and life commitments. There is a blended approach to learning which includes online and face to face teaching.
