The goal of the European Master’s Degree in Multilingualism and Education (EMME) is to promote excellence in teaching and high-quality research that inspires both students and faculty.

Critical thinking and analytical skills will be stimulated in a programme that offers key concepts and challenges in the study of multilingualism and education.

University of the Basque Country's students will:

Programme Structure

Courses include:

The basic structure of the one-year program is as follows: Course type Credits (ECTS) Obligatory 12 Optional 33 Master thesis 15 Total 60 The obligatory courses will be taught through the medium of English. Thus, a level of B2 or independent user is needed to enroll. Part of the optional courses will be through English and another part will be through Basque and/or Spanish. It is possible to follow a full program through English. The student can also choose to follow part of the program through English and another part through Basque or Spanish.
