The Health Sciences program of University of Lucerne provides in-depth knowledge of health, functioning and disability and approaches health form a biopsychosocial and interdisciplinary perspective.


The Health Sciences program of University of Lucerne brings a new dimension to research, health service provision and healthcare management.

After completion of the first semester, students can focus on areas that interest them most and choose from the following Majors:

  • Health Communication
  • Health Behavior and Management
  • Health Economics and Health Policy
  • Health Services Research 
The program provides a broad background in health sciences from a biopsychosocial perspective and has a focus on the interaction of individuals and their environment within the context of health. Students will also have the opportunity to choose a Major in a specific area to get more in-depth knowledge depending on their professional interest and career direction.
