The Health Law specialization from York University offers an in-depth examination into a dynamic and rapidly growing field with a wide range of practice opportunities and intellectual challenges. Required courses address bioethics and the law as well as legal frameworks in the Canadian healthcare system. You will explore major areas where law and health intersect, including mental health law, professional governance, malpractice, intellectual property, information technology and privacy in health law, human rights and globalization, health facilities law, pharmaceutical regulation, biotechnology, and comparative health law.
