The students of the English Philology programme at University of Opole may choose to follow one of offered academic paths and pursue their MA thesis in: Literary studies/Cultural studies or Linguistics/Translation studies.

Careers

Graduates of English Philology finish their studies with strong communication skills in English in writing and speaking at C2 level, ability to search for information in various sources, to analyze and synthesize information, and to work effectively both independently and in teams. They are well prepared for a career in, for example:

translation and interpretation bureaus
public relations
publishing houses
advertising agencies
fundraising organizations
commercial, corporate or other business institutions
research institutes
many other fields that require proficient knowledge of English and liberal arts education.

Foreigners shall be admitted to the University of Opole on the basis of:

international agreements, according to the principles stipulated therein

agreements drawn between the University and foreign institutions, according to the principles stipulated therein;

decision of the Minister

decision of the NAWA director regarding the holders of scholarship;

decision of the NCN director on allocation of funds for implementation of basic research in the form of a research project, traineeship or scholarship, qualified for funding in the course of competition;

administrative decision of the rector, PAN institute director, director of the research institute, or director of the international institute.
