The Visual Arts Education degree is offered by the Faculty of Education at MARA Technological University.
Program Educational Objectives
- To produce educators who are knowledgeable, competent in their respective areas of specialisation and able to manage and develop students in line with the National Education Philosophy
- To produce educators who are competitive in a globalised era, pious, innovative and holistic.
- To offer innovative programmes which cater to various educational fields of specialisation.
- To offer programmes of various educational level to provide a wider opportunity for life-long learning.
- To offer level programmes in various modes, fulltime and part-time (out of campus, franchises, distance learning and flexible learning).
- To ensure that programmes offered are of international standard and accredited by local and international institutions.
- Are knowledgeable and competent with strong understanding of fundamental of teaching and learning in their respective fields
- Uphold professional attitudes and ethics necessary in fulfilling their responsibilities towards the Creator, stakeholders and the society
- Are able to adapt to and adopt from the local and global work environment
- Are able to lead based on experience and knowledge of contemporary development in education

General requirements
The Master of Education in Visual Arts Education is open to any candidates who fulfils the following requirements:
- B. Ed. (Art and Design Education) (Honors) from a recognized university with a CGPA of 2.75 and above; OR
- B. Ed. (Art and Design Education) (Honors) from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and at least ONE year of teaching/working experience. OR
- Any Bachelor's Degree and Diploma in Art and Design from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and at least ONE year teaching/working experience; OR
- Any Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university not meeting the minimum requirement of CGPA 2.50, however with at least FIVE years teaching/working experience; AND
- Must have a minimum Malaysian University English Test (MUET) score of Band 3.5
- Pass the interview and test conducted by the Faculty of Education.
