
Overview
In the Human Factors and Ergonomics program at Conestoga College you will use of a variety of ergonomic tools, techniques, technologies, and a solution-based approach to remodel work environments and increase work production and safety for employees.
In the Capstone project, you will work in teams to design, implement, and evaluate real-world industry solutions, supported by experts from the field with the goal to enhance human system performance between humans, machines, tools, and technology.
Careers
Graduates may find employment as a
- Human Factors and Ergonomics Specialist,
- Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator,
or other roles with an expanded focus on ergonomics in a variety of industries such as manufacturing, health care, government and aerospace.

General requirements
- Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma, degree or equivalent in Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Engineering, Health Sciences, Nursing or Human Resources (or equivalent).
- Applicants possessing degrees/diplomas from institutions where the language of instruction was not English will be required to provide test scores as evidence of their English language proficiency. Test scores, if required, would be a minimum of TOEFL iBT 88 with no individual skill less than 22; IELTS 6.5 with no bands less than 6.0; CAEL 70 with no sub-test band scores less than 60; PTE Academic 58; Conestoga English Language Test (CELT) Band 6; Cambridge Exams 180 with no individual score less than 170; or equivalent scores in other recognized standard tests of English.
