General requirements
- A two- or three-year diploma or a degree from an accredited college or university in the fields of media or design such as broadcast television, video or film or animation production, advertising design or graphic design, or equivalent.
- Applicants not meeting the post-secondary education requirements but who have a minimum of three to five (3 to 5) years of related full-time formal work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Related experience may include positions in broadcast television, video, film, animation, advertising design, graphic design, or equivalent. Such applicants must provide a resume and work-related references.
- Other relevant disciplines may also be considered, such as IT innovation and design or others that offer a significant degree of media technology and design in their curriculum.
Technological requirements
All students entering this program must:
- have a laptop computer that meets minimum specified requirements
- own and maintain their laptop
- bring their laptop on the first day of classes.
- REQUIRED: USBC Thumb Drive, USBC 2TB Hard Drive, 16GB class 10 SD Card (for photography)
- DISPLAY: 15-inch display or larger is appropriate
