Key Facts and Outcomes
- From launching satellites to planetary exploration – the master's programme in Space Systems at University of Oslo will give you insight into the use of sensors and systems for space exploration. You will learn how we download and make use of the data that is collected. The study focuses on system aspects aimed at Earth observations and near space.
- In this study programme, you will get to know the space industry, as well as research and education in the area both internationally and in Norway. Central to the program is the system aspects surrounding the development and design of small satellites, with associated payloads, for Earth observation and communication.
- The program also looks at how applications of space systems can answer national and international challenges – from support for the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, especially within education, women's rights and health, to the free sharing of collected data worldwide. The focus is on how we can take advantage of technology and methods from the new commercial space industry, NewSpace, to provide easier, cheaper, and faster development, launch, and use of satellites.
