Overview

The programme is jointly offered by the School of Accounting and Finance and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering which aims to provide graduates with interdisciplinary knowledge from a blend of topics related to ESG, sustainability, green finance, risk management and corporate governance to knowledge about an understanding of today’s social and environmental issues such as global climate change and society response.

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University's ESG and Sustainability programme provides students with core knowledge on ESG and sustainability (e.g., economic, accounting, finance, management, and technology) and practical skills required for solving ESG-related business and/or technological problems that are common in real-life situations.

Career prospects

The career prospects of graduates are very broad, and the employment directions include: corporate sustainable development management, ESG consulting and green finance in the financial sector, etc.; and related employment positions include: inspection director, sustainable development manager/senior executive, sustainable development consultant /analyst/expert, etc.
