Our students of Genomics in Society at Erasmus University Rotterdam are trained to become T-shaped professionals. You gain in-depth expertise in the field of genomics, while broadening your knowledge to include psychology, governance, ethics, and entrepreneurship. With this T-shaped profile, you will be able to synergize between different fields, speak and connect their languages, while remaining focused on scientific and societal issues at stake. You will be trained in doing interdisciplinary research that is tailored to the future roles and positions of you as a bridge builder between Genomics and Society.

General requirements
- An academic bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Psychology or Sociology, Pedagogical Sciences, or a broad academic bachelor's education with subjects in these disciplines. Or
- Background knowledge in statistics and/or research methodology if you hold an academic bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Criminology, Life Sciences or Social Sciences. We ask you to provide evidence of an equivalent of at least 10 EC education in statistics and/or research methodology.
- Demonstrable affinity with the research field genomics in society
- We ask you to demonstrate your affinity with genomics in society by submitting a motivation letter. Please use the template provided on the application page.
