Overview
During this academic year students of the Economics programme from Makerere University will be required to take four course units per semester for the first two semesters and three course units for the last semester.
Quick Facts:
- One course unit shall be equivalent to one contact hour per week per Semester. One contact hour is equivalent to one hour of lecture or one hour of tutorial. Each course shall be equivalent to 60 hours of lectures.
The following specific criteria shall apply:
- A second class honours degree in economics or its equivalent from a recognised university
- A second class honours degree with economics as one of the subjects or its equivalent and
- A second class degree in statistics, quantitative economics ,business administration and management, sciences and engineering or its equivalent.
