About Social Economics at University of Minho
Masters in Social Economics will thus hold technical skills to identify social problems, propose and implement answers to those problems, in diverse contexts, both institutionally and geographically. They will also have technical and analytical skills that will enable them to autonomously develop a critical and grounded reflection at the theoretical and practical levels that contribute to the definition of alternative and complementary innovative strategies that sticulate economic development. Finally, graduates in Social Economics will develop a set of transferable skills that allows them to adapt to different contexts,and get involved constructively and fully in their professional activities in this and related areas.Careers
The main career opportunities are found in public and private institutions connected to the Third Sector, both at local and central levels. The skills acquired aill also enable students to consider the possibility of develop their own projects, either during the second year of the programme in the Project course unit, or after graduation.
