Mission

The Islamic Studies programme at Istanbul University wants:

To provide an academic environment that will encourage the students to evaluate these studies with a critical and original perspective.

To educate religious experts, who are aware of the standards of the era , being able to produce authentic knowledge, actively participate in scientific activities and also being able to guide the society.

Programme Structure

Graduation requirements:

It has been has been determined according to requirements the find by the university senate and istanbul university institute of social scince graduate programme guideline and requirement.

120 ECTS course should be taken and a dissertation should be submitted and defended successfully infront of the commetee.

General requirements

Holding a B.A. degree complying with Istanbul University Senate requirements and Istanbul University Instutition of Social Science requirements, being succeed in ALES exam, foreign language exam and oral exam in the related department.
