Offered in cooperation with the Institute of Political Science at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, the Political Science - Comparative and Middle East Politics and Society (University of Tubingen) programme from The American University in Cairo standout feature is the integrated semester abroad, enabling you to immerse yourself in the academic and cultural environments of either Tübingen or Cairo.

Learning Outcomes
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of political systems, particularly in the Middle East region. Acquire a deep understanding of the political structures, institutions and processes that shape governance in various countries.
- Gain the ability to critically analyze and compare political systems across different regions, including the Middle East. Learn to identify similarities and differences in political ideologies, policies and decision-making processes.

- Meeting the admission application deadline
- An online application for graduate studies
- Online payment of the application fee
- A statement of purpose (about 500 words for each graduate program selected) indicating the reasons for interest in the specific program, what you will bring as skills and/or experiences to the program, and how graduate studies fit in your long-term academic and professional objectives
- For the MIM/CEMS program, a letter of motivation should be submitted instead of a statement of purpose.
- An updated resume (CV) that must include work experience and educational background
- At least two online letters of recommendation from persons familiar with your academic or professional background
- Official academic records, including the final transcript of the bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, showing courses and grades, and proof of degree completion.
