Overview
Chemistry - Digital Chemistry from University of Gdansk is designed to give the students a solid base in quantum chemistry; molecular mechanics & dynamics, coarse-grain modelling; exploratory data analysis and machine learning algorithms; artificial intelligence for computer-aided drug design; numerical methods with algorithms for chemical and physical sciences, and programming in R and Python at an advanced level.
Students at Chemistry - Digital Chemistry from University of Gdansk will:
- have in-depth knowledge, skills and competences in specialist matters of chemical sciences. In particular,
- be prepared to independently solve chemical problems, conduct research and collect and critically analyze experimental and computational data
- have advanced specialist knowledge in basic branches of chemistry, modern cheminformatics techniques, computational methods in molecular quantum mechanics, theoretical and computational techniques in physics-based modeling and simulation. He knows the operating principles of scientific and research equipment used in chemistry.
- be able to use his knowledge to plan and perform chemical experiments of medium complexity using appropriate computational tools/methods.
- be prepared to solve complex problems using innovative computational methods. He can formulate, and test hypotheses related to simple research problems in the field of digital chemistry.

- Holders of bachelor diploma in Chemistry or related field are qualified to apply.
- In the case of graduates of other fields, the decision is made by the recruitment committee and it’s based on the program of completed studies and the results achieved.

- Foreign bachelor diploma legalized by Polish Embassy holding an office in the issuing country OR with an Apostille (if it was issued by an institution of the country that signed the Hague Convention) with translation to Polish (if applying for studies conducted in Polish) or English (if applying for studies conducted in English)
