Overview
This Neuroscience program is also preparing the ground for “translational research” to adapt the images in the basic sciences to the clinical setting in the neuroscience field. Ultimately, the field of neuroscience is in a close relation with neurology, psychiatry, neurosurgery, anesthesiology and algology, neuropathology, neuroradiology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, clinical neurophysiology, psychiatry, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, and algology, especially with some of the medicine fields related with central nervous system diseases.
By collaborating with the existing laboratories in the relevant fields within the faculties operating at Koç University, researchers from different disciplines are also provided with the opportunity to develop any new treatment options, medicines and medical devices for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and control, mitigation and prevention of neuroscience diseases.
Learning Outcomes
Students in the Neuroscience program at Koc University are provided with basic knowledge in all major areas of neuroscience, including molecular neuroscience and neurobiology, computational and computational neuroscience, cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, and clinical neuroscience.
