Overview
Key facts
Over the course of four semesters of study, students enrolled to Jagiellonian University's second-cycle programme in European Studies follow courses in various fields: political, social, cultural and economic. Jagiellonian University's MA programme in European Studies offers six specialisation tracks. Also thanks to a wide network of university partners in Europe and in the world, students have a unique opportunity to pursue double/joint/multiple degree programmes.
The programme is designed to provide students with advanced and interdisciplinary knowledge of contemporary European affairs. Our focus is the study of the political, economic, and cultural character of Central and Eastern Europe and the European Union. Most of our graduates apply their expertise in careers in either non-governmental or business sectors, while others continue with their studies on a doctoral level.

The diploma (or supplement) should include information about holders' eligibility to continue education in the country of issue.
- Candidates possessing an MA degree may also apply. A degree in a relevant subject area is preferred; however, all applicants who can demonstrate an interest in European Studies are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates whose first language is not English are required to prove their English language proficiency with a recognised certificate documenting command of the English language on a level specified by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
