La Trobe's Master of Internet of Things (IoT) combines technical knowledge with practical learning to give you advanced programming and systems design skills.

The first of its kind in Australia, La Trobe's Master of IoT is grounded in industry practice. You'll have the opportunity to work on one of Bendigo's many IoT technology projects like Clever Weather or the Long Range IoT Network.

Possible roles include:

  • IoT system engineer
    • Develop, manage and monitor IoT devices and systems, including cloud/edge servers and sensors. Write software to communicate with devices.

    • Spearhead development of the IoT vision. Design end-to-end IoT architecture, enable the design and construction of IoT solutions, and create new processes.
  • IoT business analyst

  • 180 credit point pathway – COGNATE ENTRY(18 months):
  • Successful completion of a 3 year Australian
  • Bachelor degree (or its equivalent) in a Computer Science, Information Technology field
  • Prior learning developed through relevant work experience or professional accreditation, where it is deemed to be at least equivalent to that obtained through a Bachelor degree, may be considered. In making an offer to an applicant, the University will give consideration to a range of factors to determine whether an applicant has demonstrated the capacity to work at a Masters level, including academic record, English proficiency, and/or employment experience.
  • The minimum entry requirement is successful completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or its equivalent).
