General requirements
To be considered eligible for the programme, you must:
- Hold the degree of MB/BAO/BCh or equivalent medical degree
- Be recognised by the Opens in new windowIrish Medical Council or any other EU medical regulatory registration body.
- Possess good undergraduate and postgraduate records and references.
- A period of no less than three years must have elapsed from the time you obtained your degrees – not less than two years of which must have been spent in the practice of surgery and surgical science – before you can apply for the MCh.
