Biomedical Engineering department at Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad offers engaging and dynamic under-graduate, graduate and doctoral programs in various focus areas to invigorate the passionate minds. We are a department with 13 Faculty, 11 Staff members, 93 Under Graduate, 43 Post Graduate and 121 PhD students and counting.

IIT Hyderabad is devoted to making this interdisciplinary dream a reality through recruiting leading edge researchers in various field of Biomedical, nano and biotechnology, biomechanics, biomaterials, bioinstrumentation, biosensors, computational biology, biophysics and neurosciences to our department. By converging the engineering expertise in analytical and experimental methods to biological and medical sciences, we aim at unveiling the unseen in biology and innovations in technology that can be translated to clinical Health Care Engineering. The translation from bench to bedside will be enabled by the state-of-the-art pre-clinical test facilities to be operationalised soon.

General requirements

The candidate must have earned BTech/BE/MSc/Equivalent Degree in any discipline with a CGPA of 8.0 or above, and have a valid GATE score in CS/EC/EE/MA/ST.
The applicant must have already earned BTech/BE/MSc or, at least, should be in the final year of the respective studies. In the latter case, it would be assumed that the candidate will be able to complete the degree by the time of M-Tech admission.
All Foreign nationals are required to obtain Student visa before they can register at IITH
