Overview

The curricula of various postgraduate programmes offered by the Department are designed to meet the criteria of industries especially skillsets for Industry 4.0. They are reviewed and updated regularly by industry experts, academicians, alumni and other stakeholders. The Computer Applications curricula at Bharathiar University include a proper blend of class room-based teaching, practical sessions in the computing lab, course work, record work, seminar and project work.

Facilities

The department is 100% networked connecting all the class rooms, laboratories and office. It is equipped with two air-conditioned computer labs with 60 nodes each; two computer labs with 15 nodes each exclusively for research; and one Internet of Things (IoT) lab. The department has one fully air-conditioned seminar hall and one smart class room for conducting academic as well as research programmes.

General requirements

A pass in Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Information Technology/ Computer System and Design) or equivalent with Mathematics as a course at Higher Secondary level or at Graduate level. The candidate should have appeared for TANCET 2022 / Bharathiar University M.C.A. Entrance Test.

Registration fee of Rs.400/- for each application should be paid through Net Banking/Debit/Credit cards/ NEFT.

Registration for SC/ST candidates is Rs.200/- for each application ( Photo copy of the Community certificate be enclosed)
