The Economics program of the University of Peshawar is aimed to achieve academic excellence along with opening-up new vistas in the field of Economics.

The Department of Economics, being a dynamic institute of the University of Peshawar, is focusing on fulfilling its responsibilities, thus playing role in diverse issues of national importance ranging from imparting quality education to producing cutting edge research, that improve lives and influence policy.

The Department of Economics is fully equipped with highly qualified faculty and other requisites to impart sound training in the field of Economics. In addition to education and training being its primary objectives, the Department also give key attention to the grooming of its students. Considering its responsibility for preparing the country’s future human resources, the Department of Economics frequently engages its students in rigorous research activities, that sharpen their abilities and add more to their intellect.

It is based on the market demand for a special blend of graduates who will combine in themselves the technical abilities and know-how of economics.

Admission will be offered purely on the basis of merit and merit for all the programmes will be determined on the basis of Bachelor marks

Candidates on waiting list must sign the attendance sheet in the concerned Departments/Centre/Institute within the specified dates, otherwise admission will not be offered
Hafiz-e-Quran & Disabled applicants must bring admission form acknowledgement receipt at the time of appearing in respective test/interview on respective dates
Admission forms received by post/mail or after due date will not be entertained
The University reserves the right to withdraw any programme OR to modify the rules governing the programmes OR to make necessary amendments in the programmes OR courses of studies where deemed necessary
